Snowmobile Maps
When winter snow blankets the area, local snowmobile clubs get to work. Over 1,200 miles of groomed trails can be accessed from the Whitefish Lakes Area, 850 miles of which has been named and equipped with GPS Markers.

Paul Bunyan Trail
The first rails-to-trails program in the nation, this 100 mile trail is wonderful anytime of the year. Seventy miles of the trail are paved. During the spring, summer, and fall, the trail offers hiking, biking, and in-line skating. Snowmobiling is the primary winter use along both the paved and undeveloped sections of the trail, however studded tracks are prohibited on the paved surface. The trail provides connections to many hundreds of miles of additional groomed snowmobile trails in the county.
