FISHING REPORT
REPORT for July 30:
Walleyes are hitting long lindy rigs pulled through 22 to 26 feet of water. Try leeches, night crawlers, or Red tails minnows. Also a good crank bait bite has begun. Anglers are picking up fish trolling crank baits along the weed line following the 16 to 20 feet break line and also trolling husky sized baits out deep and running them 20 to 25 feet down. Northern are being found along the weed line. Anglers trolling spinner rigs with large sucker minnows or throwing spinner baits or spoons should find plenty of action. The Sunny weather has brought the bass into the weeds and plastic worm rigs or spinner baits worked in these areas will produce fish. Crappie and Pan fish are hitting jigs or hooks tipped with crappie minnows or worms. Large sun fish are hitting in 18 to 20 feet water on Upper Whitefish, right along the weed line. Crappies are suspended in about 16 feet of water slip bobbering with live bait is working well.
